Our
History.
The Glover family started business in
the late 18th century as hand frame knitters
and for seven generations were based in
Wigston, Leicestershire.
In 1987, the business was sold to Scottish
Heritable Trust plc. Then in 1989,
the
company trading name Peregrine was reaquired
by John Glover.
After successfully trading in hosiery
and textiles the company bought a small
knitting plant and has since been producing
five and seven gauge knitwear to a high
standard of finish.
Returning to natural fibres and blends,
J.G. Glover and company now produce bespoke
quality knitwear in both classic and contemporary
styles. Generations of experience and
an eye on future innovations ensure continued
quality and value for money.
